Kaneshie Stake YSA Temple Trip

Fifty- one Young Single Adults and six leaders from the Kaneshie Stake participated in a two- day Young Single Adult Temple visit held on February 3-4, 2017.

“Many expressed their excitement to be at the temple to commune with their Heavenly Father and to help their dead ancestors.  Those who were there for the first time couldn’t hold their joy; they felt they could have stayed in the temple for the rest of their life.  They really felt outside of the world, having the opportunity to do the will of the Father,” said President Sosu, 2nd Counselor in the Kaneshie Stake Presidency.

The temple is a sacred place where church members are given the opportunity to participate in essential ordinances for their deceased ancestors.  The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints teaches that families can be sealed together forever in the temple.  Family History work brings us closer to our families that have passed on by providing these ordinances for them.  Those who enter the temple must be worthy, which means that they keep the commandments and are prepared to make and keep sacred temple covenants.
