Two New Area Seventy

J. K. Chukwuemeka Igwe, 47, of Port Harcourt, Nigeria, was sustained in April 2015 general conference as a new area seventy for the Africa West Area. He is employed as CEO of Igwediebube Nigeria Ltd. Elder Igwe was serving as stake president of the Port Harcourt Nigeria Stake when he received his call as an area seventy.  He has also served as a bishop and mission president’s counselor. Elder Igwe now has responsibility over the Nigeria Calabar Coordinating Council.

Z. Dominique Dekaye, 58, of Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, has been called as a new area seventy for the Africa West Area.  He was sustained in the April 2015 general conference. He is partner, director and co-founder of Management Consulting Resources International. Elder Dekaye is a former bishop, branch president’s counselor, mission president and stake president. Elder Dekaye has been assigned to the two coordinating councils in Cȏte d’Ivoire, Abidjan and Abidjan West.

He is married to Nathalie Dekaye and they are the parents of two children, Daniel, age 21 and Roseline, who is 17 years.

Patriarch Zadi Mamadou was instrumental in introducing Elder Dekaye and his uncle to the gospel. Elder Dekaye was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church in November of 1994. The gospel has given the Dekaye family hope of eternal life and charity has become a principal foundation in their lives.
