A Savior Is Born Worldwide Initiative

A Savior Is Born Worldwide Initiative

The Church has unveiled a new Christmas initiative, A Savior Is Born, to spread the message of our Savior Jesus Christ this Christmas season.

The world needs a Savior. Jesus Christ can free of us from the effects of sin, heartache, and wounds that we may think will never heal. He was born to change all hearts, end all good-byes, and fix all mistakes; to help us overcome anguish, regret, depression and fear. ³His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace² (Isaiah 9:6).

The video, inspired by Isaiah 9:6 and George Frideric Handel¹s Messiah, shows children from all over the world reciting scriptures about the Savior¹s birth.

Church employees and Church-service missionaries are invited to help ³flood the earth² with messages of the birth of our Savior through the worldwide Christmas initiative. Members¹ participation will increase the impact of this worldwide multimedia initiative.

Beginning Sunday, November 29 at 6:00 a.m., messages of Jesus Christ¹s birth will appear on many major Church websites, including christmas.mormon.org, LDS.org, JesusChrist.lds.org, MormonChannel.org, and many others.

Through January 2, advertisements on billboards in the heart of Times Square in New York City and atop taxis will share the message of loving, believing, and following Jesus Christ.

We invite all to view and share this news with friends, neighbors, and acquaintances.
